Kamloops Youth In Care Christmas Hampers

Posted Nov 20, 2020

This year we are supporting 42 youth on YAGS and Independent Living; of those youth, 5 are parents, each with one child. We will be putting together a stocking for the babies and toddlers (ages: girl - 9 months, girl - 2 yrs, 2 boys - 1 yr, 1 boy - 2 yrs) and ask that if folks would like to donate clothing, toys, diapers, etc. we will divide up what is received so that all parents will receive things for their littles.

This year we are asking folks who would like to help to donate money that will be used to purchase a gift certificate for each youth. STFC is contributing stockings filled with items such as pencil crayons, notebooks, pens, hot chocolate, tea, granola bars, Power Pages, YICN (youth in care network) information for the Kamloops local etc. to go along with the gift certificate that will be delivered prior to Christmas so the youth are able to shop for a gift.

All agencies will be collecting funds and items, as well ICS is able to provide tax receipts for all monies collected over $5. Deadline to contribute money, or items for the littles, will be Friday, December 4, 2020 at noon. Know that you will be making a difference this year for a youth who may be struggling with isolation this year due to COVID. Thank you for making a difference!
